This is an excellent introduction to trekking in the Himalayas. It is a relatively short trek and avoids many of the issues associated with high altitude. It is more suitable for families or people with lower levels of fitness. You have the chance to experience the exhilarating flight to Lukla and will experience many view points towards Everest and weather permitting you will get the chance to see it in all its glory.  Offers the chance to get up close and personal with some of the biggest mountains in the world without some of the risks associated with higher altitudes. This is an excellent expedition especially when coupled with the Chitwan National Park visit.

DAY 1 – ARRIVE IN KATHMANDU 1,400 M

Although we cannot go inside this beautiful temple, as it is strictly for Hindus, you can clearly see the temple and the ceremonies from the eastern bank of the Bagmati River. A truly spiritual experience.

Boudhanath Stupa

Boudhananath is classed as one the holiest Buddhist sites in Kathmandu.

Built in the 5th century with the four pairs of eyes of Lord Buddha in four cardinal directions keeping an eternal eye on everyone that passes by. There are often Buddhist pilgrims here from Tibet wondering around in a clockwise direction. Remember to only walk clockwise!
